Alvina Sommer Alvina F. Sommer, 93, 1687 Minster-Fort Recovery Road, Minster, died at 5:45 p.m. April 20, 2004, at Heritage Manor Nursing Center, Minster.
She was born March 18, 1911, in Minster, to John and Caroline Wall Sommer.
Surviving are a sister-in-law, Hilda Sommer, Minster, and eight nephews and nieces.
Deceased are two brothers, John and Joseph, and a sister, Anna Raterman.
She was a homemaker and a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster.
Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Louis Schmit officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
Calling is 4-7 p.m. Friday and 9-9:30 a.m. Saturday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.

Memorial services for Mercer County native John Edward Townsend, 57, of Fairbanks, Alaska, are 1-3 p.m. Sunday at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina.
Townsend died April 1, 2004, of injuries sustained in a fall in Fairbanks.
