None Today Carol Jean Hone, 70, of Celina, died at 4:20 p.m. Aug. 18, 2004, at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater.
She was born May 4, 1934, in Celina, to Russell B. and Velma Odetta Smith Hone.
Surviving are a brother, James (Donna) Hone, Celina; two nephews, Tom (Carol) and Barry (Kelly), all of Celina; two nieces, Leigh (Larry) Wolkan, Columbus, and Carrie (Bruce) McDaniel, Portage; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
A nephew, Don, is deceased.
She taught school in Celina and Columbus and also worked for Union Department Store in Columbus. In 1973, she returned to Celina to manage Celina Home Finishing Supplies. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Celina, and was at one time the youngest ruling elder of the Presbytery. A 1952 graduate of Celina High School, she attended Miami University, Oxford.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Bruce McDaniel, a nephew, and the Rev. Steve Moulton officiating. Burial will follow at Swamp College Cemetery, Celina.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at W.H. Dick & Sons Funeral Home, Celina.

Walter Kramer, 91, 866 Watkins Road, Fort Recovery, died at 8:50 a.m. Aug. 19, 2004, at his residence.
He was born Sept. 30, 1912, in Fort Thomas, Ky., to August and Marie (Brockhage) Kramer. In 1938, he married Marie Bihn who died Dec. 3, 1952.
Surviving are three sons, James (Niobe) of Dayton, Jerry (Mary Lou) of Fort Recovery, and Bob (DeLaine) of Huntington Beach, Calif.; three daughters, Florine (George) Hamlin, Plain City, Ann (David) Ahlers, Dayton, and Rosemary Kramer, Greenville; two sisters-in-law, Mary Kramer, Dayton, and Doris Kramer, Fort Wright, Ky.; 19 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Four brothers and a sister are deceased.
He was a farmer, a retired employee of J & M Manufacturing in Fort Recovery, and a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Sharpsburg.
Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Kenneth Alt officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. today and after 8:30 a.m. Saturday at Brockman & Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery.

Kenneth E. Schoenleben, 71, 4885 state Route 707, Rockford, died at 3:50 p.m. Aug. 19, 2004, at his residence.
He was born Dec. 23, 1932, in Rossburg, to William and Marie Schoenleben. On Sept. 28, 1968, he married Ruth Blankenship who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Michael (Bobbie) of St. Marys, Scott of Willshire, and Bryan (Betsy) of Rockford; a daughter, Sharon (Dave) Kroft, Celina; two brothers, Bud (Patty) of Celina and Glen (Phyllis) of Greenville; a sister, Ruth Mosier, Meridian, Miss.; a stepbrother, Clifford Fetters, St. Marys; three stepsisters, Helen (Art) Thomson, Celina, Vera Halderman and Ruth Ruwoldt, St. Marys; 11 grandchildren and a great-grandson.
Deceased are his stepmother, Mary Schoenleben, and a son, Robert.
He owned and operated Mercer County Engine Service for 27 years and served as a Mercer County Sheriff's deputy and ranger for 19 years. He formerly worked at Fisher Implement in Chattanooga, International of Celina and Charlie Ayers Asphalt & Paving. A U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, he was a member of Abounding Grace Church and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5713, both of Celina, and the Gideons.
Services are 2 p.m. Sunday at the church, the Rev. Rick Brosher officiating. Burial will follow at Mercer Memory Gardens with the VFW conducting military rites.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Lehman Funeral Home, Celina.

John B. "Ben" Vorhees, 69, 7470 Deep Cut Road, Mendon, died at 4:09 p.m. Aug. 18, 2004, at Van Wert County Hospital.
He was born Jan. 7, 1935, in Mercer County, to Floyd and Camilla Kellermeyer Vorhees. On Nov. 28, 1953, he married Maxine Arnold who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Jay (Jenny) of St. Marys; a daughter, Jill (Dave) Roehm, Willshire; four sisters, Genevra Holland, Arlington, Texas, Jane (Bill) Now, Rockford, Margaretta Kiniman, Citrus Heights, Calif., and Jackie Stallter, Celina; a brother-in-law, Larry Piper, Elida; three grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren, a great-granddaughter and three stepgreat-grandchildren.
Deceased are three sisters, JoAnn Mulkey, Nadine and Alice Lee Vorhees.
He retired from Reynolds & Reynolds after 43 years and was a farmer. He served as a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division during the Korean War and attended Mendon and Hamilton-Bethel United Methodist churches. He was a member of the Celina American Legion Post and a 50-year member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Van Wert.
Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at W.H. Dick & Sons Funeral Home, Mendon, the Rev. Paul Bunnell officiating. Burial will be at Mendon Cemetery.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
