Wilma Gray

Wilma Janette Gray, 73, 751 Deford St., lot 120, Celina, died at 11:50 p.m. March 3, 2006, at her residence.
   She was born March 16, 1932, in St. Marys, to Emil and Hazel King Schnelle. On Dec. 3, 1949, she married Jack A. Gray, who died Feb. 16, 1999.
   Survivors are five sons, Jack A. Jr. (Diana), Marc A., Tim D. (Betsy), John M., and Scott L. (Kelli); and a daughter, Lisa E. Kidder Gray, all of Celina; two brothers, Emil, Convoy, and Robert, of S.C.; three sisters, Fredonia Leugers, Lakeview, June (Norvel) Weitz, Celina, and Carol (Alfred) Germann, Convoy; and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
   Deceased are a son, Jeff E.; a daughter, Ginger L.; two brothers, Fredallas and Paul; and a sister, Pauline Rempe.
   She retired from the Thompson Cafe and the old Sweet Shop, both in Celina. She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign War Auxiliary Post 5713, Celina.
   Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Kenneth Baker officiating. Burial is at Swamp College Cemetery.
   Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.


LaVerta Westbay

LaVerta A. Westbay, 87, of Bellefontaine, died at 10:10 a.m. March 5, 2006, at Ross Heart Hospital, Ohio State University, Columbus.
   She was born Oct. 26, 1918, in New Bremen, to Oscar and Alvira Quellhorst Hirschfeld. On June 6, 1942, she married Vernon Westbay, who survives.
   Also surviving are a son, Michael (Nancy), Celina; a brother, Virgin (Fern) Hirschfeld, St. Marys; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
   Deceased is a great-grandchild.
   She and her husband owned and operated Westbay's Office Supplies, Bellefontaine. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women, Bellefontaine.
   Services are 1 p.m. Thursday at Eichholtz Funeral Home, Bellefontaine, the Rev. Max E. Powell officiating. Burial is at Greenlawn Cemetery, Wapakoneta.
   Calling is 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
   Contributions can be made to the church building fund or the American Heart Association.
