Mary Fenwick

Mary F. Fenwick, 79, 1113 Motz St., St. Marys, died at 10:25 p.m. March 16, 2006, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
   She was born Feb. 18, 1927, in Mercer County, to Charles and Edith Siler Fennig. On Jan. 17, 1957, she married Sterling Fenwick Jr., who survives.
   Also surviving are two sons, Darrell, St. Marys, and Sterling (Sherri) III, Wapakoneta; and two daughters, Tonda, St. Marys, and Tamela (Mark) Pfenning, Troy; a brother-in-law, Pete Green, Celina; a sister-in-law, Frances Fennig, Celina; 14 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
   Deceased are three sisters: Bernadine Humbert, Wilma Leichty and Wanda Green; and a brother, Phillip.
   A graduate of Celina High School, she was retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, St. Marys. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, St. Marys, and a charter member of the St. Marys Garden Club.
   Service is 11 a.m. Tuesday at Miller Funeral Home, the Rev. Kenneth Laffin officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.
   Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.


Gerald Snyder

Gerald Lloyd Snyder, 78, Ohio City, died March 16, 2006, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, Ind.
   He was born Dec. 1, 1927, in Portland, Ind., to Dwight D. and Della Trueblood Snyder. On June 11, 1948, he married Corrine Straley, who survives.
   Also surviving are two sons, Jerry (Peggy) and Jack (Deborah), all of Ohio City; four daughters, Barbara (Daniel) Everidge, Ohio City, Norma (Dean) Schweizer, Celina, Nancy (Karl) Hans, Churubusco, Ind., Maggie (Mike) Fetcho, Holland; a brother, Leon (Mary), Decatur, Ind.; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
   He was a farmer, worked at Central Soya in Decatur and retired in 1987 from National Seal, Van Wert, after 34 years. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Van Wert. He graduated from Wren High School, Wren, in 1945 and The Ohio State University in 1950.
   Service is 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Portland Chapel of Williamson & Spencer Funeral Home, the Rev. Edward Jillson officiating. Burial will follow at Green Park Cemetery, Portland.
   Calling is 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
