Kathleen Mae Davis

Kathleen Mae Davis, 91, of Mendon, died March 26, 2006, at Van Wert County Hospital. She was living at her daughter's residence in Mendon.
   She was born Nov. 19, 1914, in Texas, to Hace Albert and Roxie Jane Boston Fisher. On July 21, 1942, she married Thomas E. Davis, who died Jan. 14, 1986.
   Survivors are six sons, Gary, Texas, Michael, Kentucky, Gordon, Missouri, Mark, Mendon, and Thomas Jr. and Robert (Robin), all of Nevada.; four daughters, Diana (Harold) Willobhy, Missouri, Merchele (Bill) Simmons, Idaho, Sherry Johnson, Mendon, and Wanda Sodders, Oregon; a brother, John Fisher; three sisters, Loretta, Aretta and Caroline Fisher, all of California; 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
   Deceased are two brothers, George and Claude Fisher, and four sisters, Polly Winfrey, Alice Angelo and JoAnn and Mary Fisher.
   She was a homemaker and member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1291 Auxiliary, Rockford.
   Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.


Gloria Sanford

St. Marys native, Gloria Belinda Sanford, 48, 43277 Cannon Drive, Sterling Heights, Mich., died at 7:20 p.m. March 24, 2006, at the University of Michigan Hospital, Ann Arbor, Mich., following a brief illness.
   She was born Nov. 16, 1957, in St. Marys, to Harold and Vonnie Tuttle Sutton. Her mother survives in St. Marys. On July 18, 1981, she married Scott A. Sanford, who survives.
   Also surviving are two daughters, Tara and Bianca, both of Sterling Heights; three brothers, Steve Sutton, St. Marys, Harold (Cindy) Sutton, Ridgeville, Ind., and William (Marcia) Sutton, Marion, Va.; two sisters, Margie (Jim) Sparks, Prestonburg, Ky., and Bianca (Mike) Moorman, Louisville, Ky.; and father-in-law, Sam Sanford, St. Marys.
   She was a kindergarten teacher at Ebeling Elementary School, Utica, Mich. She was a 1976 graduate of Memorial High School, St. Marys. She received her bachelors degree in early childhood education from The Ohio State University and her master's of education degree from Saginaw Valley State University. She attended the Samaria Missionary Baptist Church, St. Marys.
   Services are 11 a.m. Friday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. Jack Burns officiating. Burial will follow in Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.
   Calling is 2-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.


Ronald Stein

Ronald L. Stein, 56, 249 Lincoln Drive., Celina, died at 1:18 p.m. March 26, 2006, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys. Death was due to natural causes.
   He was born Oct. 8, 1949, in Celina, to Robert and Helen Miller Stein. On May 13, 1971, he married Lola Bradley, who survives.
   Also surviving are a son, Brian Bradley, Celina; a daughter, Tammy (Daniel) Dailey, Celina; two brothers, Dave, Coldwater, and Fred (Theresa), Portland, Ind.; three sisters, Shirley, St. Henry, Betty (Lester) Hemmelgarn, St. Henry, and Kathy (Don) Hamilton, Coldwater; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
   Deceased are a brother, Tom; a sister, Jane; and stepfather, Rudy Wendel.
   He retired from Huffy Bicycle Co.
   Services are 7 p.m. Thursday at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Robert Ellis officiating.
   Calling is after 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
