Martha Adams

Martha Stanford Adams, 82, formerly of Ohio City, died March 31, 2006, at Otterbein St. Marys Retirement Community.
   She was born Jan. 8, 1924, in Noble Township to W.D. and Lucille Lutz Noble. On Aug. 21, 1948, she married Stephen Stanford, who died Jan. 16, 1987. She then married the Rev. Harry Adams, who also preceded her in death.
   Survivors are two daughters, Nancy Stanford, Bear, Del., and Kay (Michael) Solomon, West Lafayette, Ind.; and five grandsons.
   She was a former member of the United Methodist Church, Ohio City, and a member of the Wayne Street United Methodist Church, St. Marys. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was a 1942 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School and attended Ohio Northern University.
   Funeral Services are 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Meyer Chapel at Otterbein St. Marys Retirement Community, the Rev. Carol Sainey officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Ohio City.
   Calling is 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday at the retirement community.
   Memorials can be made to the Otterbein St. Marys Benevolent Fund.
   Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys, handled arrangements.


Christine Fields

Christine Fields, 68, Celina, died March 31, 2006, at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater.
   Arrangements are pending at Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home, Celina.


Madonna Gilliland

Madonna Pauline Gilliland, 93, of Celina, died at 9:15 a.m. March 30, 2006, at Celina Manor Nursing Home.
   She was born Aug. 19, 1912, in Portland, Ind., to Ezra and Rachel Reynard Hanks. In 1931, she married Jesse E. Gilliland, who died May 11, 1967.
   Survivors are a son, Donald (Carolyn), Celina; a sister, Cleo LeMaster, Columbus; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
   Deceased are two sons, Richard and Robert Gilliland.
   She was a homemaker and worked for 15 years at Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., St. Marys.
   Private calling and services will be held at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home, Celina. Burial will be in Swamp College Cemetery, Celina.


Carroll Grimm

Carroll E. Grimm, 88, 40 E. Sixth St., Minster, died at 10 a.m. March 30, 2006, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
   He was born Feb. 25, 1918, in Mendon, to Carl and Mary Rhodes Grimm. On Aug. 17, 1940, he married Rita Westerheide, who survives.
   Also surviving are five sons, Gary (Cecelia), Houston, Fred (Jill), Holland, Steven (Barb), Minster, Spencer (Meredith), Dahlonaga, Ga., and Charlie (Shannon), Santa Clarita, Calif.; four daughters, Patti (Jerry) Longbrake, Sidney, Jenni (Doug) Dahlinghaus, Minster, Amy (Jim) Witmer, Troy, and Gretchen (Chris) Matheny, Sylvania; two brothers, Kenneth (Carol), Sebring, Fla., and Douglas, St. Marys; three sisters, Betty (George) Schlaudecker, Toledo, Jackie (Paul) Badger, North Fort Myers, Fla., and Mary Evelyn (Allen) Paul, New Bremen; a sister-in-law, Marlene, Camden, S.C.; 32 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
   Deceased are a brother, Richard, and stepmother, Florence.
   He was owner and operator of Grimm and Westerheide Tool & Die Company, Fort Loramie. He was a past grand knight, Knights of Columbus 2158, Minster; past president of Minster Commercial Club; and charter president, Kiwanis International, Fort Loramie, and lieutenant governor, and organized the Minster Kiwanis. He helped with the Minster Boy Scouts and had 16 years on the Scout Committee. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster Village Council, Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 568, Sidney, Arrowhead Golf Club and Society of Manufacturing Engineers, Lima.
   Funeral Mass is 2 p.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Larry Wyen officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
   Calling is 1-8 p.m. Sunday and 1-1:45 p.m. Monday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
   Contributions can be made to Troop 44, Minster Boy Scouts and Minster Little League.


Juanita Hoverman

Juanita M. Hoverman, 83, Celina, died March 30, 2006, at Celina Manor Nursing Home.
   She was born Aug. 8, 1922, in Celina, to C. Earl and E. Marie Bowers Fisher. On Dec. 20, 1941, she married William Hoverman, who died Nov. 8, 1981.
   Deceased are a brother, Donald Fisher, and a sister, Thelma Luth.
   She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, St. Marys.
   Her cremated remains will be laid to rest at the convenience of her family in Riverside Cemetery, Rockford.
   Arrangements are by Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home, Celina.


Gary Hull

Gary G. Hull, 69, Rockford, died March 31, 2006, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
   Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home, Celina. Burial will follow at Swamp College Cemetery.
   Calling is 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
