Verna Brunswick
Verna L. Brunswick, 94, of Minster and Newport, died at 5 p.m. July 7, 2006, at Fairhaven County Home, Sidney, where she was a resident for five years.
She was born March 22, 1912, in Collinsville, Texas, to Gustin and Crotia Wheeler Hope. On Nov. 23, 1932, she married Theodore Brunswick, who died Aug. 22, 2001.
Survivors are three daughters, Patricia (Patrick) Hoying, Minster, Joan (Robert) Dues, Houston, and Barbara (Gerald) Thomas, Sidney; 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
She was the last of her family. a brother and two sisters are deceased.
Also deceased are a grandchild and a great-grandchild.
She retired as a nurse's aid in the nursery at Wilson Memorial Hospital, Sidney. She was a 1930 graduate of Houston High School and a member of the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Newport.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church the Rev. Steven Shoup officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. today and 9-10 a.m. Tuesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
