Viola Lefeld
Viola A. Lefeld, 82, 1673 Township Line Road, St. Henry, died at 1:05 p.m. Aug. 9, 2006, at her residence.
She was born Jan. 21, 1924, in Wendelin, to Henry and Odilia Roeckner Hueing. On Aug. 28, 1943, she married Edward A. Lefeld, who died March 12, 2004.
Survivors are two sons, Edward, Columbus, and Allen (Linda), Coldwater; three daughters, Alberta (Larry) Behr, Fort Loramie, Phyllis (John) Krieg, North Star, and Madonna (Francis) Grieshop, Chickasaw; two sisters, Betty Heuing and Irene Fullenkamp, both of St. Henry; a son-in-law, Dale Winner, Bellefontaine; 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a daughter, Patricia Winner; and a grandchild.
She was a homemaker and worked at Heuing's Market, Wendelin. She was a sewing volunteer for Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater.
She was a member of St. Wendelin Church, its ladies sodality and adoration guild; Maria Stein Relic Chapel; American Legion Post 648 Auxiliary, St. Henry; Knights of St. John Council 313 Auxiliary, Maria Stein; and Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 417, Portland, Ind.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Larry Wyen officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Friday and 9-10 a.m. Saturday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry.
