* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Northwestern Auglaize County in west central Ohio... Mercer County in west central Ohio... * WHEN...Until 800 AM EDT Friday. * IMPACTS...Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. Expect many areas of slow moving or standing water. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1218 AM EDT, radar indicated scattered thunderstorms developing which contain moderate to heavy rainfall. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the warned area over the next hour or two. - Some locations that may experience flooding include... Celina, St. Marys, Coldwater, New Bremen, Rockford, Wabash, Mendon, Chickasaw, Montezuma, Tama, Neptune, Carthagena, Bulkhead, State Route 116 at State Route 197, Chattanooga and Kossuth.
Celina city administration officials are seeking to raise water rates by more than 30 percent to maintain existing water plant operations.
Further rate increases could be implemented before the full 30 percent increase fully takes effect. The additional increases are necessary, they say, to pay for new facilities to be built to bring the city's water into compliance with Ohio EPA regulations. [More]
COLDWATER - The Coldwater Exempted Village School board of education finally approved the Tri Star agreement Tuesday night after debating the school's role in the program's future for over half-a-year.
But both board members and Superintendent Rich Seas say they have no intention of ending the hard-hitting questions they have posed to Tri Star over the last six months. Coldwater is the last school to sign the agreement. [More]

Saturday kicks off three programs of harness racing at the Mercer County Fair.
Saturday's night of racing begins at 7 p.m. with nine races while Sunday will have a matinee card of eight races starting at 1:30 p.m. with Monday night wrapping up the racing with a 7 p.m. start.
