The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Reuben Henschen
Reuben W. Henschen, 86, 04687 Southland Road, New Bremen, died at 8:05 p.m. August 19, 2006, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
He was born Oct. 1, 1919, near New Knoxville, to Herman F. and Alvina M. Haberkamp Henschen. On May 26, 1942, he married Margaret L. Wagner Beickman, who died Sept. 24, 1996.   Survivors are two sons, Larry (Karen), Springfield, and Roger (Sharon), St. Marys; two daughters, Mary Metzger and Kathryn (Stan) Chalk, both of New Knoxville; a brother, Victor (Pat), New Knoxville; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two brothers Leonard and Elmer Henschen.
He was a retired farmer and repaired trundle sewing machines for the Amish. He was a lifetime member of the First United Church of Christ, New Knoxville. He was a 1937 graduate of New Knoxville High School, former New Bremen High School Board member and attended Platt Deutsche meetings.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. David Williams officiating. Burial will follow at German Protestant Cemetery, New Bremen.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home, New Bremen and after 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
Contributions can be made to the church memorial fund or to the charity of the donor's choice.
