The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

William Carpenter
William Carpenter, 82, 5250 U.S. 33, Rockford, died at 5:35 a.m. Aug. 24, 2006, at Van Wert County Hospital.
He was born March 14, 1924, in Nelsonville, to Luther and Cecelia Hoover Carpenter. On Nov. 15, 1969, he married Evelyn Pond, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, William, Columbus, and Jeffrey, Reynoldsburg; three daughters, Deborah Head, Athens, Ala., Tamara (Jason) Vance and Melisa Carpenter, all of Miami, Fla.; six grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Deceased are a stepson, Ricky; a stepdaughter, Linda; and a brother, George.
He retired from Clark Grave Vault Company, Columbus and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Mercer United Methodist Church and American Legion Post 210 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5713, both of Celina.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Kenneth Baker officiating. Burial is at North Grove Cemetery, Celina.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
