Camping out

Promoting the Mercer County Fairgrounds is starting to pay off. Scott Riffle, fair manager, said 40 campers from throughout the United States showed up at the fairgrounds this weekend before heading to an event in Van Wert. Riffle was hired by the fair board earlier this year to bring more events to the fairgrounds and promote the grounds, which are open to campers.
