Southerly winds will increase today ahead of an approaching cold front. Sustained winds of 15 to 25 mph can be expected with gusts of 35 to 45 mph at times this afternoon. Be sure to secure outdoor objects.

A day for relaxing

A pair of anglers relax on a pier along West Bank Road in Celina on a picture-perfect fishing day at Grand Lake on Thursday afternoon. Temperatures rose to a comfortable 67 degrees on Thursday with highs today reaching 65 and showers expected to move in tonight. Rain will be on tap Saturday with a much chillier high of 49, according to local weather forecaster Dennis Howick.
