The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Helen Barrenbrugge
Helen Jane Barrenbrugge, 82, of Portland, Ind., died Dec. 8, 2006, at her other residence in Pasadena, Calif.
She was born June 27, 1924, in Triadelphia, W.Va., to George and Anna Molnar. In 1961, she married Charles Barrenbrugge, who died in 1994.
Survivors are a brother, John Molnar, Cincinnati; and two sisters, Irene Elshoff, LaCanada, Calif., and Margaret Magnan, Watertown, Wisc.
She attended business college and had previously worked in the Cincinnati area. She and her husband donated scholarships to students in Mercer and Jay counties.
Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Portland. Burial will follow in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery, Fort Recovery. A rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the church.
Contributions can be made to St. Francis High School, LaCanada.
Arrangements are by Baird-Freeman Funeral Home, Portland.
