A 19-year-old Rockford man implicated in the theft of eight vehicles over a six-month period apparently needed transportation to and from Celina to see his girlfriend.
So he merely looked for unlocked vehicles with keys in the ignition.
No charges have been filed as yet, but authorities expect the case to be presented to a Mercer County grand jury in the coming weeks. [More]

ST. MARYS - The St. Marys Roughriders had a daunting task on Tuesday night at McBroom Gymnasium, facing state-ranked and undefeated Indian Lake along with its two 1,000-point scorers in Erin Nelson and Jenna Smith.
The Roughriders scored the first seven points of the game and led by seven at the half, but the Lakers found their stroke in the second half, outscoring the Roughriders 23-10 in the final two quarters to escape Auglaize County with a 38-32 win. [More]

ST. MARYS - In a perfect world of education, a district's permanent improvement fund wish list of more than $1.4 million would be no problem.
