Grand Lake melts
Photo by Janie Southard/The Daily Standard

The sun sets on the east side of Grand Lake Thursday night, reflecting off chunks of ice that were pushed up and out of the water as the lake melts. Friday's high of 58 degrees helped speed the melting process further and Local weatherman Dennis Howick predicted a high of 50 today.
