* IMPACTS...The cold wind chills as low as 13 below zero could result in hypothermia if precautions are not taken. Very cold temperatures can lead to hypothermia with prolonged exposure.

A little droopy

Daffodils and other spring flowers lay lifeless this morning along Lake Shore Drive as freezing temperatures moved into the area Wednesday. Gardeners warned local residents this week to cover plants, particularly overnight, as a northeasterly flow of cold air and light snow blankets the area.
