* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Viola Wendel
Viola J. Wendel, 100, 509 E. North St., Coldwater, died May 13, 2007, at her daughter's home in Fort Recovery.
She was born May 7, 1907, in Burkettsville, to Joseph J. and Catherine Balmert Werling. On Aug. 23, 1926, she married Carl A. Wendel, who died Dec. 20, 1993.
Surviving are two daughters, Lois Hoying, Fort Recovery, and Barbara Brun, Dayton; 12 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, Carl J.; a daughter-in-law, Martha; two sons-in-law, Bob Hoying and Lawrence Brun; two brothers, Lavern and Clarence Werling; a sister, Henrietta Shephard; and a grandchild.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater, and its St. Ann's Rosary Altar Sodality and St. Cecelia Knights of St. John.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. Ronald Wilker officiating. Burial is at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.
Calling is 9-10 a.m. Thursday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
