Tall grass in Celina
Photo by Mark Pummell/The Daily Standard

Celina city officials are facing some problem areas throughout town with excessively tall grass. Residents can lodge complaints about tall grass with the Celina Police Department or city administration. The police must follow a legal process to cite property owners, but after that the city is free to intervene and have the grass cut. Property owners, including banks that have taken possession after a foreclosure, then are billed for the service and can face court fines for multiple violations.
