Judith Lynn Buerger, 63, died May 20, 2007, in Clearwater, Fla. Death was due to an extended illness.

She was born Dec. 23, 1943, to William R. and Vera E. Young Huffman. Her mother, of Mendon, survives in Clearwater. In August 1973, she married Theodore Buerger, who died in July 1995.

Surviving are a son, David S. (Lucy Rojas), Sterling, Va.; a brother, William L. (Mila Darlene) Huffman, Jacksonville, Fla.; a sister, Rebecca L. Huffman, Clearwater; a granddaughter.

She was a school psychologist for Lakewood Public Schools, Lakewood, a graduate of Lima Senior High School and Bowling Green State University and received her master's degree from John Carrol University, Cleveland. She was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority and Northwood Presbyterian Church in Clearwater.

Services are 1 p.m. Saturday at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home, Rockford, the Rev. Karen Long officiating. Burial is at Mendon Cemetery.

Calling is one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
