Overnight periods of light snow accumulation, as well as patchy freezing drizzle, combined with temperatures falling into the teens and 20s, have created the potential for slick and icy conditions, primarily on untreated roadways, sidewalks and driveways. Motorists are advised to use caution, allow extra travel time and maintain increased stopping distance if traveling.

John Rasberry
John Lee Rasberry, 55, of Polson, Mont., died Aug. 7, 2007, at his residence. Death was due to natural causes.
He was born Jan. 11, 1952, in Glenwood, Ark., to James and Dona Rasberry. In 1970, he married Mary Piper, who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Erin, Polson; three brothers, Garry (Annette) Moorman, Fenton, Mich., and Mike (Janet) and Richard, all of Celina; three sisters, Patricia (Dennis) Pruitt, Columbia, S.C., "Skeets" (Keith) Clayburg, Longview, Wash., and Phyllis (Tom) Brinkman, Wilder, Idaho; and two grandsons.
He worked at the Daily Standard, Celina, and later owned several printing and publishing companies including Mountain House Publishing, Polson. He also was a real estate sales associate with Tradewinds Realty. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving from 1972 to 1974 as an informational specialist. He was as graduate of Celina Senior High School, attended the University of Montana School of Journalism and Salish Kootenai College, Pablo, Mont.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
