St. Marys River at Rockford.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...St. Marys River at Rockford.
* WHEN...Until Sunday evening.
* IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, State Route 117 near Route 118 north of Rockford is water-covered and closed.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:40 PM EDT Saturday the stage was 13.1 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.2 feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below flood stage early tomorrow afternoon. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Verna Glass
Verna V. Glass, 89, 9130 state Route 197, Celina, died at 12:30 a.m. Sept. 19, 2007, at her residence.
She was born Sept. 13, 1918, in Mercer County, to Joseph and Margaret Houser Now. She married Harry Preston, who is deceased. Then on Sept. 28, 1957, she married John Edward Glass, who survives in Celina.
Also surviving are a son, Don (Rosalie Smalley) Preston, Rockwell, N.C.; a daughter, Barbara Reder, Celina; a sister, Dorothy Nottingham, Celina; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Deceased are a son-in-law, Jim Reder; three brothers, Cloyd, Floyd and Dale Now; and two sisters, Golda Jeffries and Bertha Now.
She retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, St. Marys, was a 1936 graduate of Neptune High School and was a member of Neptune Church of God.
Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Bill Morman officiating. Burial will follow at Mercer Memory Gardens, Celina.
Calling is 9-11 a.m. Saturday at Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home, Celina.
