Periods of light snow can be expected tonight with some scattered snow showers then lingering into Monday morning. Snow totals of around an inch or less will be possible. Increasing winds later tonight and Monday morning will support blowing snow, primarily in rural areas.
Challenging travel conditions will be possible starting tonight and continuing through the day on Monday. Use caution and allow for extra time to reach your destination.

A few hours of light snow are expected late this evening, mainly after 8 pm. While accumulations will be light, some challenging travel conditions may develop given the cold temperatures.
Additional snow may linger through Monday morning with accumulations remaining light. However, increasing winds and very cold temperatures will support blowing snow, primarily in rural areas.

Kenneth Heitkamp
Kenneth Heitkamp, 68, 52 E. Second St., Minster, died at 12:01 a.m. Sept. 29, 2007, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
He was born Oct. 1, 1938, in Minster to Urban and Alvina Kemper Heitkamp. On Oct. 22, 1960, he married Veronica Omlor, who survives in Minster.
Also surviving are two sons, Kenneth Jr., Rock Hill, S.C., and Gregory (Laura), Minster; three brothers, Donald (Shirley), Minster, Larry (Judy), St. Henry, and Gary (Jane), Montezuma; a sister, Mary Jane (Duane) Bachman, Piqua; a sister-in-law, Barb, Minster; and six grandchildren.
Deceased is a brother, Terry.
A 1968 graduate of the University of Wisconsin School of Banking, he retired in 1990 as vice president and chief loan officer at Minster Bank. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster. He also was a 48-year member and former secretary of Fraternal Order of Eagles 1391, Minster, a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles 767, St. Marys, a member of Minster Athletic Boosters, a former manager of Eagle Park and co-founder of Minster Little League, where he was one of the first coaches.
Service is 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Rick Nieberding officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9-9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
Memorials may be made to the church or Maria Stein Retreat House.
