Firefighters and Mercer County Sheriff's deputies push one of two vehicles from the intersection of Fleetfoot and Siegrist-Jutte roads following an accident at 9:07 a.m. Tuesday. Kelly J. Ontrop, 32, 3848 Philothea Road, Coldwater, stopped eastbound for the Siegrist-Jutte Road stop sign and then noticed workers in a nearby dump truck waving and the northbound Oldsmobile Alero of Mary Jo Schlater, 49, 142 N. Walnut St., St. Henry, slowing as if to stop. Ontrop drove her 2000 Pontiac Montana into the intersection and was struck by the car. She was taken by ambulance to Mercer County Community Hospital in Coldwater and later cited for failure to yield the right of way. Both moderately damaged vehicles were towed from the scene.
