* WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values up to 104 possible.
* WHERE...Portions of east central and southeast Indiana, northeast and northern Kentucky, and central, south central, southwest, and west central Ohio.
* WHEN...From Sunday afternoon through Tuesday evening.
* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events, particularly for those working or participating in outdoor activities.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Consecutive days of excessive heat and humidity combined with very warm low temperatures can be especially hazardous as the overnight hours provide little relief from the heat. The heat may continue into Wednesday.

John Sharp
Robert P. Sharp, 60, of New Bremen, died at 7:56 p.m. Oct. 23, 2007, in the emergency room of Wilson Memorial Hospital, Sidney.
He was born Oct. 23, 1947, in Piqua, to Daryl and Virginia Carter Sharp. On June 28, 1980, he married Patricia Watercutter, who survives.
Other survivors are four sons, Mark (Chris), New Bremen, Michael (Kathy) Weaver, Wapakoneta, Keith, Cincinnati, and Jon (Emily), Fort Mead, Md.; two daughters, Cindy (Steve) Jones, Sidney, and Heather McCoy, White Pine, Tenn.; a brother, Dale (Shirley), Minster; two sisters, Phyllis Kennedy, Tallahassee, Fla., and Jane Donnovan, Dublin; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was a pattern maker at Minster Machine Corp., where he worked for 42 years, and was working part-time at Wal-Mart in Sidney. A 1965 graduate of Minster High School, he was a U.S. Navy veteran and member of American Legion Post 241, New Bremen. He also was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, New Bremen, a 4-H advisor for 30 years and served as an adult counselor at Camp Palmer for 15 years.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home, New Bremen, the Rev. Leah Matthews officiating. Burial is at German Protestant Cemetery, New Bremen.
Calling is 3-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
