The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Gary VanTilburg
Gary VanTilburg, 66, 1209 Indiana Ave., St. Marys, died at 4:37 p.m. Nov. 13, 2007, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
He was born July 20, 1941, in Mercer County to Paul E. and Ethel J. Behm VanTilburg. On Aug. 7, 1965, he married Mary E. McDonough, who died March 9, 2005.
Surviving are two sons, Gregory E. (Jenny), St. Marys, and Terry L. (Kim), of Florida; a daughter, Amy Joann (Jeffery) DeGeorge, of Georgia; a half brother, Jerry D., Lima; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Decease is a brother, Larry L.
He retired from Huffy Bicycle Corp., formerly of Celina, after 21 years.
Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Saturday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, St. Marys, the Rev. Emil Shuwey officiating. His body is to be cremated.
Calling is 4-7 p.m. Friday at Cisco Funeral Home, St. Marys.
