Coldwater Cavalier football player Kurt Schoenherr leads his fellow teammates down a send-off path, surrounded by fans and orange and black balloons, in The Palace at the school this morning. Coldwater plays Youngstown Mooney at 3 p.m. Saturday in Massillon for the Division IV state championship. A public welcome home event is planned for 2 p.m. Sunday in The Palace.
