It's about giving

It's about givingVolunteers Steve Dzendzel, left, and Jerry and Margaret Baucher load potatoes into a shopping cart at Aldi's in Celina on Thursday for the ninth annual food basket project sponsored by Shirley's Bar and Grill, Montezuma. According to business owner Shirley Hildebrand, after the items were purchased, 150 boxes were filled and delivered to 50 families in Mercer County. The project is made possible with the help of volunteers and proceeds from an auction held at the bar earlier this year and monetary donations. Hildebrand said Hemmelgarn & Sons, Philothea, donated eggs for the food baskets, with other donations coming from the Southshore Sportsmen's Association, American Legion and Moose, all of Celina.
