Dr. Louis Froning
Dr. Louis G. Froning, 84, 222 N. Seventh St., Coldwater, died at 4:05 a.m. March 1, 2008, at the Gardens of St. Henry.
He was born Dec. 16, 1923, in Coldwater, to Paul J. and Anna M. Boeckman Froning.
Surviving are a sister, Beatrice A. Gast, St. Henry; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Deceased are two brothers, Thomas and Maurice; and a brother-in-law, James Gast.
He was a dentist in Celina for 40 years and a member of the Ohio Dental Association. He graduated from the University of Dayton and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the Ohio State University. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and its Holy Name Society, Coldwater. He served as a sergeant with the U.S. Army in World War II, was a charter member of the Schockman-Bailey Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the American Legion, Coldwater, where he served as the bugler.
Funeral mass is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Richard Walling officiating. Burial is at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater, where military rites will be conducted.
Calling is 4-7 p.m. Tuesday and 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
