Light snow is expected to develop across the area after midnight, shifting to the southeast through the predawn hours. This band of light snow will affect the region by the Thursday morning commute, eventually pushing south of the area by mid- morning.
Minor snow accumulations of less than an inch are expected, but cold ground conditions will allow for quick accumulation on any untreated surfaces. The main impacts are expected to be reduced visibilities and some slick spots on untreated surfaces.
Motorists should exercise caution. Plan extra time for the Thursday morning commute.

Dustin Carter, 18, a senior at Hillsboro High School, talks to Coldwater High School students during a special assembly on Wednesday morning in the auditeria. Carter's legs and arms were amputated when he was 5 years old after contracting a rare blood diesease. His motivational speech focused on his dream to compete in the state wrestling tournament. His visit to the school was part of Get REAL Week, an event with activities that challenge students to do their best and make good choices.
