Donald Schrolucke
Donald W. Schrolucke, 85, of 107 Kuck Street, New Knoxville, and formerly of Zanesville and Cape Coral, Fla., was found dead at his residence on May 12, 2008.
He was born Oct. 15, 1922, in New Knoxville to William and Mary Henschen Schrolucke. On March 2, 1947, he married Lillian Henschen, who died Jan. 21, 2000.
Surviving are a brother, Robert (Shirley) Schrolucke, New Knoxville; a companion, Margaret Henschen, New Knoxville; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased is a brother, Vernon Schrolucke.
He retired from the Westfield Company, where he was an insurance claims adjuster. He was a member of the First United Church of Christ and the American Legion, both in New Knoxville and the Fraternal Order of Eagles, St. Marys. He was a 1940 graduate of New Knoxville High School and served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.
Services are 11 a.m. Friday at the church, the Rev. David A. Williams officiating. Burial is at Pilger Ruhe Cemetery, New Knoxville, where military rites will be conducted by the American Legion.
Calling is 9-11 a.m. Friday in the Heritage Room of the church.
