Orville Koverman
Orville J. Koverman, 78, of Spencerville died at 12:25 a.m. Monday at Celina Manor Nursing Home, following a short illness.
He was born Feb. 2, 1930, in McCartyville to Harry E. and Bernadine M. Schwartz Koverman. On June 19, 1952, he married Barbara Zwiesler, who survives.
Other survivors are three sons, Ken (Chris), St. Marys, Jeff (Chris), Delphos, and Dave (Jodi), Spencerville; three daughters, Kristy (Bob) Geist, Mendon, Robin (Tony) Laman, St. Marys, and Sue (Ron) Kloeppel, Delphos; three sisters, Jeanette Borges, Minster, Evelyn Buschur, Dayton, and Joan (Orvie) Schweitzer, Sidney; 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Deceased is a brother and his wife, Roger and Rose, and two brothers-in-law, Leo Borges and Louis Buschur.
He owned the Krendl Rack Company, Spencerville, for 25 years. He was a 1948 graduate of Minster High School and served in the U.S. Army from 1951 through 1953. He was a member of Bowersock Bros.-Veterans of Foreign Wars, Spencerville, American Legion of Lima, Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge, Delphos, and St. Patrick Catholic Church, Spencerville.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. John Fleck officiating. Burial is at Gethsemane Cemetery, St. Marys, where graveside military rites will be conducted by the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Harry J. Reynolds American Legion, Spencerville.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville, with a prayer service at 7:45 p.m.
