Light snow is expected to develop across the area after midnight, shifting to the southeast through the predawn hours. This band of light snow will affect the region by the Thursday morning commute, eventually pushing south of the area by mid- morning.
Minor snow accumulations of less than an inch are expected, but cold ground conditions will allow for quick accumulation on any untreated surfaces. The main impacts are expected to be reduced visibilities and some slick spots on untreated surfaces.
Motorists should exercise caution. Plan extra time for the Thursday morning commute.

Emerson Garbig
Emerson E. Garbig, 93, formerly of Greenville, died at 8:45 a.m. May 20, 2008, at Otterbein Retirement Community, St. Marys, where he was a resident.
He was born Jan. 31, 1915, in Darke County, to Ernest and Elizabeth Hartle Garbig. On Jan. 1, 1938, he married Laura L. Gibson, who died Nov. 16, 1990.
Survivors are two sons, John (Jane) and Michael (Cynthia), all of Celina; two brothers, Ernest (Wanda) of Florida, and George (Velma), Arcanum; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and a great-great grandchild.
Deceased are a sister and her husband, Elizabeth and Otho Morton; and a great-grandchild.
He was a farmer and member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, Celina.
Services are 2 p.m. Friday at Otterbein, the Rev. Bob Metheny officiating. Burial is at Miami Memorial Park in Covington.
Calling is 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, and 1-2 p.m. Friday at Otterbein.
