Going to the dogs

A state employee clears the 4 acres of wooded state parkland at West Bank Park along Grand Lake that will serve as the area's first dog park. Help is now needed, according to organizer Deb Borns of Celina, to prepare the ground for planting grass, as well as donations to purchase the seed and other expenses. The project is a partnership between the public and the State of Ohio. Estimates for the fencing that would enclose the park are still in the wings. A similar dog park is expected to be built along the east bank in Auglaize County after the West Bank Park is up and running.
