Scattered snow showers occurring across the area will slowly diminish through the evening. These snow showers will continue to cause brief reductions in visibility. In addition, as temperatures fall, the snow showers could produce a light coating of snow on roadways. This will result in the potential for some slick spots to develop. Motorists should be prepared for changing conditions this evening and exercise extra caution.

Parkway pitcher Emily Crowell throws the ball to first base for an out against Newton during Division IV softball regional semifinals action at Wayne High School. Crowell, just a freshman, tossed a two-hit shutout with nine strikeouts and also added three hits in Parkway's 5-0 victory.
