* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Showers and thunderstorms producing heavy rain will impact the area overnight. Rainfall totals of 1 to 3 inches are expected with locally higher amounts. The heavy rain combined with saturated ground will lead to potential flash flooding.

* IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, State Route 117 near Route 118 north of Rockford is water-covered and closed.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Herman Linn
Herman R. Linn, 83, formerly of New Castle, Ind., died June 26, 2008, at the assisted living center where he was living in Indianapolis, Ind.
He was born Jan. 8, 1925, in Mercer County to Otto and Nora Stover Linn. He married Thelma Tucker, who died in February 1955.
Surviving are three sons, David, Indianapolis, Tim, Las Cruces, N.M., and Dennis, Whitehouse; a daughter, Lori Carpenter, Indianapolis; two sisters, Alice Bruns, Rockford and Janet Heureux, Lakeview; two brothers, Gene, Lake Butler, Fla., and Robert, Rockford; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a daughter, Jane Brown; a sister, Ethel Longsworth; and a brother, Paul.
A former local pastor, he served with the Church of the Nazarene from 1958 to 1989, mostly working in Indiana churches. Linn served with the U.S. Navy during World War II and retired from D&M in Connersville, Ind., after 20-plus years of service.
Services are 2 p.m. Monday at Westview Nazarene Church, New Castle, the Rev. Max Downs officiating. Burial will follow at South Mound Cemetery.
Calling is 2-6 p.m. Sunday at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle and 1-2 p.m. Monday at the church.
