Aliceruth Kimmel
Former Rockford resident Aliceruth Kimmel, of Celina, died July 14, 2008, at Celina Manor Nursing Home.
She was born Jan. 17, 1923, in Maumee, to Virgil and Ruth King Edwards. On March 9, 1940, she married Edwin Kimmel, who died Aug. 26, 1995.
Survivors are three sons, Charles (Lynn), Noblesville, Ind., Dale (Judy), Green Valley, Calif., and Thomas (Kathy), Celina; a sister, Barbara Edwards, Phoenix, Ariz.; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a brother, Thomas Edwards.
She was a homemaker and member of the Rockford United Methodist Church and its ladies organization. She attended St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Celina.
Services are 10 a.m. Saturday at the Celina church, the Rev. Kim Miller officiating. Burial is at Riverside Cemetery, Rockford.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Friday at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home, Rockford, and one hour prior to services Saturday at the church.
