Alvina Uhlenhake
Alvina R. Uhlenhake, 93, 5012 Kremer- Hoying Road, St. Henry, died at 3 a.m. July 21, 2008, at The Gardens at St. Henry.
She was born Nov. 22, 1914, in Carthagena, to Bernard and Margaret Keller Homan. On May 6, 1941, she married Ray Uhlenhake, who died Aug. 31, 1973.
Survivors are four sons, Harold (Joan), Ralph, Don (Pat) and Dale (Sharon), all of St. Henry; a sister, Rose Ontrop, St. Henry; a son-in-law, Nolan Mangen, North Star, a brother-in-law, Jerry Siegrist, Minster; 19 grandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, Steven; a daughter Norma Mangen; three brothers, Ferd, Ray and Bernard Homan; four sisters, Marcella Smith, Mary Borgert, Ann Siegrist and Lillian Fleck; and a grandchild.
She was a homemaker and a member of the St. Henry Catholic Church and its Altar Rosary Sodality.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. Tony Fortman officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and 9-10 a.m. Thursday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home in St. Henry.
