Two major Celina city street projects have been pushed back a year in order to give the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) and their selected contractors a longer construction season.
The $3.7 million Main Street reconstruction project will be bid out in early 2010 with work to begin that spring. The project originally was intended to begin in August 2009. [More]
Celina council members favor repairing building

Constructed in 1890, Celina City Hall needs some repairs to correct its crumbling bricks and sandstone, say city officials.
Celina City Council's building and grounds committee on Wednesday night made a recommendation that city council members approve masonry repairs, a chemical cleaning and an application of water repellent sealer to the building. [More]

Grand Lake's aspirations to make the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League playoffs took a major hit on Wednesday at Jim Hoess Field.

St. Henry couple will bring concession stand to Lake Festival, Mercer County Fair
ST. HENRY - 'Tis the season for blooming onions, two-fisted sandwiches, smoked turkey legs, deep-fried candy and fresh-squeezed lemonade on the festival and county fair circuit.
