Evelyn Zink
Evelyn Mae Zink, 80, of Wapakoneta, died at 12:20 p.m. Aug. 18, 2008, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
She was born March 7, 1928, in Logan Township, Auglaize County, to Delmar "Scotty" and Claire Louise Scott Place. On Sept. 10, 1946, she married Paul R. Zink, who survives.
Other survivors are two sons, Paul D. (Diana) and John M. (Penny), all of Wapakoneta; two daughters, Patty (Garry) Wooley, Wapakoneta, and M. Jane Wheelock, West Milton; a brother, Roger (Judy) Place, Toledo; a daughter-in-law, Beverly (Joe) Hurlburt, St. Marys; 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, Steven J., and an infant sister, Norma Jane Place.
She was a homemaker and a farm wife, a member and former secretary of the Auglaize County Horseman's Association and a member of the Mercer County Horseman's Association. She was a 1946 graduate of Buckland High School.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Glynwood, the Rev. Oscar Seger officiating. Burial is at Greenlawn Cemetery, Wapakoneta.
Calling is 2-4 & 6-8 p.m., Wednesday at the Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, Wapakoneta.
