* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Arveda Harter
Arveda Mae Harter, 90, of Greenville, died at 11:42 a.m. Sept. 23, 2008, at Wayne Hospital, Greenville.
She was born Jan. 27, 1918, in Randolph County, Ind., to Otis L. and Hannah B. Dingfelder Huber. On March 4, 1938, she married Willard C. Harter, who died in 1980.
Surviving are two sons, J. L. (Patty), Greenville, and Larry J. (Della), Celina; five grandchildren, three stepgrandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She had worked at the Boston Store for 10 years and Dottie's Country Cupboard and she and her husband owned and operated the former Corner Party Store, all in Greenville. She was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church, Greenville, and its women's circle and had volunteered many years at Wayne Hospital.
Services are 2 p.m. Friday at the church, the Rev. Keith Falk officiating. Burial is at Greenville Cemetery.
Calling is 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the church.
