The great pumpkin race

Participants in a pumpkin go-kart race change tires on Saturday evening at the event sponsored by the New Bremen Giant Pumpkin Growers. The organization sponsors a festival each year, with giant pumpkins used as boats, to smash cars and to make the world's largest pumpkin pie in past years. The event this year included a breakfast of pumpkin pancakes, a pumpkin pie contest, a pumpkin carver, pumpkin beer and more.
