Light snow is expected to develop across the area after midnight, shifting to the southeast through the predawn hours. This band of light snow will affect the region by the Thursday morning commute, eventually pushing south of the area by mid- morning.
Minor snow accumulations of less than an inch are expected, but cold ground conditions will allow for quick accumulation on any untreated surfaces. The main impacts are expected to be reduced visibilities and some slick spots on untreated surfaces.
Motorists should exercise caution. Plan extra time for the Thursday morning commute.

Stanley Smith
Stanley S. Smith, 68, 321 Stella St., Celina, died at 9:35 p.m. Oct. 5, 2008, at the home of his daughter in Celina.
He was born April 18, 1940, in Fort Recovery, to Paul and Eleanor Kaiser Smith. His former wife, Eileen Evans, survives in Ansonia.
Other survivors are three daughters, Linda (Brian) Seals, Celina; Debbie (Richard) Godwin, Greenville, and Peggy Peters, Ansonia; a son, Paul A., Marion; two brothers, Robert (Helen) and Richard, all of Fort Recovery; a sister, Phyllis (Jim) Burns, West Alexandria; two sisters-in-law, Eddene "Tiny," Fort Recovery, and Linda Woods, Ansonia; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two brothers, Ray and Jim; a sister-in-law Jeannie; and a grandchild.
He was a former police chief in Ansonia and worked at the former New Idea plant in Coldwater. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Celina.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery, the Rev. Thomas Dorn officiating. Burial is at St. Marys Cemetery, Fort Recovery.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday and 9-10 a.m. Thursday at Brockman-Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery.
