Phillip Piper

Phillip A. Piper, 58, 7712 Celina-Mendon Road, Celina, died at 2:16 p.m. Nov. 14, 2008, at the Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus. Death was due to natural causes.
He was born July 2, 1950, in Celina, to Ward A. and Vera G. Martin Piper. On Aug. 3, 1996, he married Lisa Harner, who survives.
Other survivors are a son, Jason (Kathryn), Greensburg, Pa.; two daughters, Jennifer (Ryan) Rolfes, Celina, and Jill (Matt) Triplett, St. Marys; two stepsons, Aaron and Ryan Strable, Knoxville, Tenn.; two sisters, Joanne (William) Youngblutt, Payne, and Karen (Ralph) Guingrich, Portland, Ind.; and eight grandchildren.
He worked for 23 years as an engineer for the former Huffy Bicycle Corporation, Celina, and Fort Recovery Industries. He was a 1968 graduate of Celina Senior High School and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today in the Cisco Funeral Home, Celina.
Calling also is one hour prior to the service at the church.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Mount Tabor Church of God, Celina, the Rev. James W. Keiser officiating. Burial is at North Grove Cemetery, Celina, where military rites will be conducted by the Celina American Legion Post 210.
