Mildred Johnson
Mildred Frances Johnson, 93, 604 Black Oak Drive, St. Marys, died at 6:55 p.m. Dec. 14, 2008, at the St. Marys Living Center.
She was born May 8, 1915, in Akron, to Alva Roy and Hannah Frances Slaughter McKitrick. On Oct. 22, 1936, she married Thomas W. Johnson, who died April 15, 1978.
Surviving are a son, William (Joyce), St. Marys; nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two sons, Thomas Roy and Fred Kenneth; a daughter-in-law, Jeannine McMillin Johnson; three grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
She worked at the Polsky Company of Akron for a number of years and was a member of Wayne Street United Methodist Church, St. Marys. She graduated from Buchtel High School, Akron, and attended the University of Akron.
Services are 11 a.m. Friday at the Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. Mary Kay Brown officiating. Burial is at Elm Grove Cemetery.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
