Light snow is expected to develop across the area after midnight, shifting to the southeast through the predawn hours. This band of light snow will affect the region by the Thursday morning commute, eventually pushing south of the area by mid- morning.
Minor snow accumulations of less than an inch are expected, but cold ground conditions will allow for quick accumulation on any untreated surfaces. The main impacts are expected to be reduced visibilities and some slick spots on untreated surfaces.
Motorists should exercise caution. Plan extra time for the Thursday morning commute.

Darlene Gibbons
Former Chattanooga resident Darlene Sue Gibbons, 69, of Ohio City, died at 5:10 p.m. Dec. 16, 2008, at Van Wert County Hospital.
She was born Feb. 24, 1939, in Celina, to Luther P. and Clara L. Schaadt Gibbons.
Surviving are a fiance, Gerald Slane, Ohio City; two brothers, Tom (Carol), Celina, and Denny (Gayle), Rockford; a sister, Lila Lee Roe, Monroe, Ind.; and a brother-in-law, Glenn Felver, Hartford City, Ind.
Deceased is a sister, Monica Felver; a brother-in-law, Raymond Roe; and an infant brother.
She had cooked for Chatt Home Restaurant, Chattanooga, and worked for the former Bowen & Eichler Implement Sales, Celina, for many years. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Rockford, and was a Sunday school teacher.
Services are 11 a.m. Friday at the church, the Rev. Catherine Costello officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Thursday and 10-11 a.m. Friday at the church.
