The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Mary Harris
Mary Ann Harris, 72, of Rockford, died at 9:15 p.m. Jan. 2, 2009, at Van Wert County Hospital.
She was born Feb. 17, 1936, in Mercer County, to Laurence Sr. and Mary L. Mihm Michael. Her mother survives in Rockford. On July 10, 1967, she married John Harris, who also survives.
Other survivors are a brother, Laurence E. Jr. (Paula) Michael, Rockford; and a sister, Connie S. (David) Bigham, Rockford.
She was a telephone operator for Rockford United Telephone Co. and Sprint and retired after 45 years of service. She was a member of Rockford United Methodist Church.
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home, Rockford, the Rev. Mike Berne officiating. Burial is at Mercer Memory Gardens, Celina.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday and one hour prior to services on Wednesday at the funeral home.
