An arctic cold front will move through the area this afternoon and evening, bringing snow showers and much colder air. While accumulations will generally be less than one half inch, quick bursts of snow will result in reductions in visibility and slick conditions at times. Some snow squalls are possible, which could lead to locally difficult travel conditions.

* WHAT...Very cold wind chills as low as 19 below zero expected.
* WHERE...Portions of east central and southeast Indiana and central, southwest, and west central Ohio.
* WHEN...From 1 AM Monday to 10 AM EST Wednesday.
* IMPACTS...The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 20 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes. Very cold temperatures can lead to hypothermia with prolonged exposure.

Eileen Baumer
Eileen T. Baumer, 84, 665 E. Fourth St., Minster, died at 3 a.m. Jan. 9, 2009, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
She was born Sept. 10, 1924, in Wapakoneta, to George and Minnie Wehrle Eisert. On May 19, 1947, she married Irwin R. Baumer, who survives.
Also surviving are her children: Daniel (Catherine) Baumer, Sebring, Fla.; Linda Baumer and Beth (Jim) Hinker, all of Minster; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Deceased are four brothers, Cletus, Ralph, Melvin and Howard Eisert; and two sisters, Leota Koenig and Martha Eisert.
She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, St. Monica Ladies Sodality and the American Legion Auxiliary, all in Minster. She was a bookkeeper for Hausfeld Motors, owner/operator of Eileen's Clothing Store, founding member of the Minster Athletic Booster Club and an original member of the Minster Scholarship Fund.
She was a volunteer for 15 years at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, a member of American Business Women and the American Heart Fund chairwoman.
Services are 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church, the Rev. Rick Nieberding officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Monday and 9-9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Hogenkamp Funeral home, Minster.
