Southerly winds will increase today ahead of an approaching cold front. Sustained winds of 15 to 25 mph can be expected with gusts of 35 to 45 mph at times this afternoon. Be sure to secure outdoor objects.

Alvera Wehrkamp
Alvera B. Wehrkamp, 88, of Fort Recovery, died at 12:45 a.m. Jan. 13, 2009, at Briarwood Manor Nursing Home, Coldwater.
She was born March 6, 1920, in Coldwater, to August and Amelia Losche Sanning. On Sept. 21, 1940, she married Arthur Wehrkamp, who died April 22, 1987.
Surviving are a son, Don (Beck), Fort Recovery; six daughters, Kathleen (Steven) Rosengarten, Beavercreek, Ruth (James) Burns, Waynesville, Carol (Roger) Siefring, Burkettsville, Margie Dilworth and Mary Beth, Fort Recovery, and Linda (Mel) Nieport, St. Henry; a sister, Dorothy Gaerke, Coldwater; a sister-in-law, Alfrieda Sanning, Coldwater; 17 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, Bill; a daughter-in-law, Kathy; five brothers, Clarence, Julius, Albert, Leo and Herbert Sanning; two sisters, Helen Kaiser and Bertha Sanning; and a great-grandchild.
She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Sharpsburg, and its Altar Sodality, and the American Legion Auxiliary, Fort Recovery.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church, the Rev. Thomas Dorn officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Thursday and 9-9:45 a.m. Friday at Brockman-Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery.
