Light snow will move across the region today. While accumulations are expected to be less than an inch, the snow may cause some slick areas on roads, especially untreated ones as well as bridges and overpasses. The snow will blow around easily and occasionally reduce visibility as well, as winds will gust to 20 to 25 MPH later today.
Use extra caution if driving late this morning into the afternoon and allow extra time to reach your destination.

Louis Shaner
Louis D. Shaner, 87, 649 E. Livingston St., Celina, died at 8:50 a.m. Jan. 14, 2009, at his residence.
He was born June 14, 1921, in Celina, to Clay and Bessie Shaner. On Sept. 26, 1946, he married Marjorie M. Cook, who died June 8, 1999.
Surviving are a son, Ricardo L. "Ric" (Amber), Celina; three brothers, Jay and Leon, both of Celina, and Boyd, Columbia, S.C.; a sister, Virginia Brehm, Chattanooga; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two sisters, Alice Curts and Thelma Grunden.
He was a self-employed brick mason for over 40 years.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Jeff Conrad and John Paul Kessler officiating. Burial is at Mercer Memory Gardens, Celina.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
